Vocal Recitals
Mark Twain famously noted that “rumors of his death were highly exaggerated” and much the same can be said for the Art Song Recital. Old fogies nostalgically reminisce over recitals by Baker, Forrester and Fischer-Dieskau – way back when! – as if the recital were extinct. Nothing could be further from the truth and enormously gifted artists devote a large part of their performing year to the recital platform.

And why not? The wealth of marvelous repertoire is astounding and all great artists are eager to explore the intimate relationship that develops when performer, composer and audience come together to experience something personal and unique. Our artists, both emerging and established, have embraced the challenge of the song recital, reinventing the format for the present day. Entertaining and moving, thoughtful or blithe, provocative or witty Dean Artists are available to take your audience on a journey of musical adventure.
