Wallis Giunta has won the Royal Conservatory Orchestra
Concerto Competition & Tom Thomas Award. As part of the award, Ms. Giunta will be performing Ravel’s Shérérézade in 2009/2010 as part of the inaugural season of the new 1,440-seat Koerner
Concert Hall. At only 22 years old, mezzo
Wallis Giunta has caught the attention of audiences and critics across
Canada. Earlier this season, she created the title role in Pandora’s Locker, a new opera for young audiences by Canadian composer, Dean Burry, presented at the Richard Bradshaw Amphitheatre at the Four Seasons Centre and at the Royal Conservatory’s Mazzoleni Hall.
